    The Impulsive is a 38' Bertram that can accommodate a private fishing party of up to six people. Air-conditioned and fully-equipped for your safety and comfort. U.S.C.G. Certified, she is powered by twin 375 horsepower turbocharged Caterpillar diesel engines. The best in electronic equipment with Penn International or Tiagra rods and reels. We also offer a 17' Scout flats boat for the backwater fishing available on the creeks and rivers of Bald Head Island.

• We offer all types of fishing and diving* charters and can do anything from a half-day trip near shore to our most popular trip, the offshore gulfstream charter.

Captain Paul Thompson has been fishing offshore for over 20 years. He hand ties his own Sea Witch and Islander lures which really deliver.  He was featured in the June/July issues of Sports Fishing Magazine and Marlin Magazine for his innovative storying system for these lures.His fishing techniques target Wahoo and Tuna, but he just loves to see the rods go off with a big fish!

Bald Head Island, North Carolina is located where the mouth of the mighty Cape Fear River meets the Atlantic Ocean. Cape Fear is known by mariners around the world for Frying Pan Shoals, an area of sandbars extending from the Cape that makes navigating tricky, but the fishing excellent.

*We offer offshore dive charters to the Frying Pan Tower with a Certified Dive Master.  An easy 60-70 ft. depth dive which gives an experienced diver a chance to see a variety of large fish stacked up by the 100's (amberjack, barracuda and grouper) or maybe pick up a 20 lb. lobster from one of Captain Paul's secret hot  spots
